Angie Miller

Assistant coach Angie Miller begins her third season with the Hornets. She will work wilh the post players while also helping with scouting and serving as the team's scheduling coordinator. Miller spent three seasons as a collegiate player and four as an assistant coach before joining the Hornets' coaching staff prior to the 1997-98 season.

Miller graduated from and starred at Washington State as a forward and center from 1987-91 and led the Cougars for three seasons before suffering a career-ending knee injury 10 games into her senior season. Prior to her injury, Miller led Washington State in scoring as a sophomore and a junior and was selected to the all-Pac 10 team following the 1989-90 season. She finished her career at Washington State with the second-highest scoring average (15.3 ppg) and free throw percentage (.775). Miller also ranks third all-time at WSU in field goals made (576) and career scoring (1 ,485 points). For her efforts, Miller, who was named to the conference's all-freshman team in 1987-88, was selected to the Pac-10 all-decade team for the 1990's.

Following her playing career, Miller served as an assistant coach at Gonzaga University in 1993-94 and then at the University of Idaho from 1994-97. While at Gonzaga and Idaho, Miller was responsible for post players, recruiting, video coordinating and served as the travel and academic coordinator.

The Red Bluff, Calif., native starred at Red Bluff HS before graduating in 1987. While there, she was named the Northern Athletic League's Most Valuable Player in her final two seasons and the California Division II Player of the Year in 1987.

She has also been involved in numerous summer basketball camps including co-directing the Washington State Basketball Camp and serving as a coach at the University of Washington Basketball Camp.

Miller and her husband, Bob, have a four-year old son, Ryan, and are expecting a second child in April.
