As a freshman (1999-00): Was the only player on the team to start all 27 games...finished first on the team in minutes per game (30.4), three-point percentage (.377), assists (86) and turnovers (122)...also third on the squad in steals (40)...her three-point percentage would have ranked third in the Big Sky had she had enough attempts. ..averaged 5.7 points and 3.0 rebounds per game...scored in double-figures on six occasions including a career-high 13 points against San Jose State and at Portland State...recorded a team season-high seven assists against Cal State Northridge. ..one of two Hornets named to the Big Sky all-academic team.

High School: A 1999 graduate of Nevada Union High School in Grass Valley, Calif...played four years of basketball for the Miners along with two years each of volleyball and track. ..in basketball, was second team all-Capital Athletic League as a sophomore and a first team selection and team MVP as both a junior and a senior...was also an all-Metro selection as a senior. ..member of the 1998-99 Nevada Union team that set the national high school three-point record with 273...led the Miners to a 30-5 record and a Sac-Joaquin Div. I section championship in 1998-99...led the 1997-98 team to a 25-9 record and second place finish in the Div. I section championship. ..named the Optimist All-Star game MVP after posting a triple-double (22 points, 14 assists, 11 steals)...was an all-tournament selection many times during her high school career and was named tournament MVP five times...led the junior varsity squad to league championship and a 25-1 overall record as a freshman...made 21 consecutive three-pointers as a freshman and finished the season with a .865 (32-for-37) three-point percentage...competed in the 4x100 relay, 400 meters and high jump in track as an underclassman...was a 3.8 student and a member of the California Scholastic Federation.

Personal: Born Oct. 21, 1980...a kinesiology major with a 3.64 GPA...was married over the summer to Rich Simpton...parents, Debbie and Hector, have taken in over 20 foster children over the past 13 years...mother has never missed a game since Rexanne began playing at age 10.
