Crystal Conley

As a junior (2001-02): Appeared in 18 games while averaging 11.2 minutes per contest...missed eight games because of pneumonia and the flu...averaged 1.9 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists per contest...recorded career highs in points (nine), field goals made (four), steals (two) and rebounds (five) against Pacific...received 34 minutes of playing time against Montana...one of four Hornets named to the Big Sky Conference All-Academic squad...knocked down three-pointers against Pacific and Montana State...appeared in each of the Hornets’ first five games and the each of the last seven games of the season...converted on at least two field goals in four games.

Junior College: Played two seasons of basketball at Santa Monica College as a small forward (1999-01)...was a first team all-Western State Conference selection, team offensive MVP and the school’s Female Athlete of the Year as a sophomore after averaging 18.4 points and 5.2 rebounds per game...lists her best game against Bakersfield College in 2001 when she scored 29 points and grabbed 11 rebounds...was an all-tournament selection at the Pasadena City College Tournament.

High School: A 1998 graduate of Crossroads High School in Santa Monica...played four years of basketball while also competing in two years of both track and tennis...played four years of varsity basketball while leading the Roadrunners to four league championships...played at both the small and power forward positions...was team captain during three of those seasons...named the Delphic League MVP and was a Los Angeles Times All-Star as a senior after averaging 16.3 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game...lists her best performance against Brentwood High School in 1998 where she recorded 28 points and nine rebounds...ran the 200-meter, 400-meter and the 4x100 and 4x400-meter relays in track...recipient of the Community Service Award in 1998 and the Santa Monica Gems Education Award in 1997.

Personal: Born Feb. 15, 1980...daughter of Carolyn Roper-Conley and Lee Conley...a sociology major who would like to be an elementary school teacher...currently has a 3.37 grade point average...brother of former Sacramento State offensive lineman, Tim Conley, who played for the Hornets in 1998-99 and went on to play professionally.
