Prior to Sacramento State: Played for two seasons, 2002-04, at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Ore…as a freshman and sophomore she was also named NWAACC Southern region first-team…was named the Female Academic Athlete of the Year as a freshman at Umpqua…during the 2003-04 season helped the team become co-champions of the NWAACC southern region…as a sophomore was the No. 2 leading rebounder in the NWAACC…also as a sophomore, she was a Kodak All-American honorable mention.

High School: A 2002 graduate of Roseburg High School in Roseburg, Ore…played four seasons of basketball and two seasons of soccer…as a freshman on the soccer team, she was chosen team MVP and a Southern Oregon Conference all-league selection…also as a freshman was MVP of the basketball team, selected all-league and second-team all-state…as a junior and senior she was named first-team SOC and also as a senior she was named team MVP.

Personal: Born Feb. 22, 1984…parents are Rex and Kelly Heard…major is communications...she is a fishing guide in Alaska during the summer.

Muscatell on Heard: “Lindsey is a gifted basketball player. She can shoot the ball and has been able to knock down shots from high school to the junior college level. I expect her to do the same thing for us. We’re going to need her to be a force offensively, defensively and on the boards.”
