As a sophomore (2003-04): Sat out the year with a knee injury.

As a freshman (2002-03): Joined the squad as a walk-on before the start of the season...appeared in five games and averaged 3.8 minutes...tallied two points, four rebounds, one assist and two steals against San Jose Christian. Tore ACL during season.

High School: A 2001 graduate of Woodcreek High School in Roseville, Calif...competed in four years of basketball, three years of soccer and two years of tennis...played guard for the Timberwolves in the Sierra Foothill League...earned the Superintendent Award as a senior...also received the Academic Merit Award as a junior and senior...homecoming queen her senior year.

Personal: Born Nov. 4, 1983...parents are Christopher Thompson and Enriqueta Castro...a communications major with a 3.7 gpa...would like to pursue a career as a sports broadcaster.

Muscatell on Thompson: �Tess is what all coaches look for in walk-on candidates. She is a sponge in terms of what her coaches ask her to do. Everybody brings something to the table in the creation of a team. What Tess brings may never be displayed on the court, but she is a very valuable member nonetheless.�
